My Story

I started Lords of Luck because programming is an ageist career. I'm not a young sprout anymore, and I was worried that I'd be replaced with someone younger. That actually happened mid 2024, after I started Lords of Luck, and my whole team was off-shored and I was let go. I am now selling cars.

So, I had to decide what to do instead of programming or selling cars, which is not really a passion of mine.

I've been a gamer since I was a kid. Archon on my Atari, Diplomacy during lunch hours, and Monopoly at the cottage. And now attending weekly game night with friends for over 20 years. From Super Monkey Ball and Champions of Norrath to Catan, Viticulture, and Brass: Birmingham.

I love getting together with my friends and shooting the breeze around a table with snacks and games. Just love it. Like, there's almost nothing I'd rather do unless it involves my family. :) Sure beats doom scrolling or watching the idiot box, which I still do too often.

So I thought I'd try to make game night a little more special for everyone by making gaming apparel and accessories. It started with the accessories, actually, but that was taking so long I added graphic tees. It's so cool do something around a passion - game night!
